How should you read EOR customer reviews?

Separate useful buying evidence from a misleading star average.

Check who is reviewing which product

An employer buying EOR, an employee receiving payroll and a contractor using a payments product can all review the same brand. Their experiences answer different questions. Identify the product, country, role and date before treating a review as relevant to your purchase.

For example, the Deel Trustpilot page includes both contractor and EOR accounts. Combining them into a single EOR service score would hide that difference.

Read the collection method

Review invitations and incentives can affect the sample. G2 labels some displayed RemoFirst reviews as incentivised and invited on behalf of the seller. That is context to retain, not proof that each account is false. Counts can also differ between a seller page and a product page.

Investigate patterns, not vivid anecdotes

A recurring issue across independent customers is worth investigating. First check that the accounts are actually independent, refer to the same product and describe comparable periods. Keep company replies attached to the complaint. A post copied across several sites still represents one underlying account.

  • Separate buyer and employee experiences.
  • Record country, date and product when supplied.
  • Retain incentive labels and provider responses.
  • Ask for corroboration before turning an allegation into a fact.

Treat platform notices as their own evidence

Record a review platform’s moderation notice separately from individual customer sentiment. When a rating is withheld, do not reuse an older numeric score from a comparison blog. Recheck the source and its current status before publication. Our pilot records a Trustpilot notice concerning RemoFirst for editorial review.

Use reviews to improve your next conversation

Turn the strongest relevant themes into questions: who handles a payroll correction, how are legal costs authorised, and what happens during offboarding? A provider’s specific answer and supporting terms are more useful than an unsupported claim that it has the best service.
