Multiplier: research & sources

The platform and published payroll workflows are useful. Fixed-seat commitments, non-refundable benefits and exit conditions are the most significant trade-offs in the current public terms.

Country fit & local delivery

EOR scope

Product page claims 150+ EOR countries and owned entities; pricing FAQ says 160+. The discrepancy and country employer details require confirmation.

Australia service

Published offer and documented process; actual service delivery is not independently measured.

G2 context and balance

Ten complete G2 EOR-profile accounts are now captured. All display an Incentivized label: nine seller-invited and one labelled Organic Review from User Profile. Two explicitly disclose business-partner-or-competitor affiliation and are excluded from independent corroboration. Several employees praise timely pay, self-service documents and clear support; an employer says past multiple-invoice administration was resolved. Wishes include split-bank salary allocation and niche integrations. One long generic software account lacks specific EOR engagement. Original and additional displayed dates remain separate; no country service quality or independent people count inferred.

G2 recent sampling and resolutions

Twenty native G2 accounts have now been read, including ten additions from requested Most Recent dated16August–15September2026. Across the twenty, nineteen display incentives and six disclose affiliation; one Organic exit complaint has no incentive label. Recent reports include jurisdiction onboarding delays and representative turnover, balanced with named-support praise. SEPA funding mandate trouble was reportedly fixed after months; an affiliated payroll-support account explicitly says income arrived on time. Another affiliated account reports resolved delayed salary. A contractor invoice account is outside established EOR scope. No frequency/independence inference or country-wide performance conclusion.

Cached insurance funding and fees

Examples useUSD25monthly; family prose still saysUSD20/240 while its table uses25/300. This inconsistency and unidentified applicable countries prevent a universal price inference. Billing FX and funding

General terms require invoice disputes within 30 days, permit 2% monthly late interest or legal maximum, and tax-withholding gross-up. Currency is mutually agreed but Multiplier determines exchange rate before invoicing and may invoice conversion shortfalls; no public FX-margin ceiling found. US direct-debit setup within seven days is mandatory. EOR wages/expenses depend on receipt of both fees and resource funds; deposit may be used when unpaid. Two undisputed unpaid invoices permit suspension/termination. These are terms, not proof of customer payment timing or legal enforceability in every jurisdiction.

Classified customer evidence

50 Trustpilot and ten Capterra-displayed accounts (one GetApp origin) were fully read and classified. Reports include late/short pay, prolonged onboarding and missing refunds alongside extensive support praise and stated resolutions. Ian/Jackson same-day payroll accounts may share an incident. GetApp-origin reviewer reports deposit recovered after lawyers; this does not resolve all payroll issues. Frances is explicitly freelance/contractor; Kirsty’s EOR/invoice scope mixed. Review targets are not failure rates; G2 expansion and remaining Capterra list gated.

Research finding · Sources

Deposit and termination accrual

EOR deposits are interest-free and variable with resource costs, fees, notice/extra leave, credit standing and other provider-determined variables; payment required before contract execution and top-ups can be required. Refund is within 60 days after last working day only after all client dues paid, and threatened/filed worker claims permit retention/use until final settlement. Deposit can fund worker liabilities. Separate statutory termination accrual can be required and does not cap total termination costs. Single-worker accounts not onboarded within three months have deposit retained for up to 12 months as service credit; no unconditional cash-refund promise inferred.

Nonrefundable private benefits

EOR terms allow annual/aggregated billing of private health or other benefit premiums to obtain pricing economies, irrespective of insurer billing. Charges are final and non-refundable even after employment ends; Multiplier need not pass through insurer refunds/rebates. Country plan price, compulsory versus optional cover and exclusions require quote/plan evidence. This public clause aligns with the type of concern in one review but does not verify that customer’s signed terms or invoice.

Order commitment and renewal

Order Forms bind total fees regardless of usage, disallow seat reductions and convenience termination, and automatically renew in 12-month periods unless notice at least 90 days before term end, up to five years cumulatively. Discounts expire after initial term; renewal resets to list price, with up to 7% list-price increase and 90-day notice. This is not a 7% cap on an initially discounted bill. Reallocation needs 30-day notice and replacement order of equal/greater value; prepaid amounts credited, not refunded. Unauthorized cancellation/nonpayment/insolvency can accelerate remaining committed fees.

EOR seats and additional charges

EOR service fees cover full joining/termination months and the month final settlement is processed. Seats may be reassigned after the prior worker termination, at same/lower country price or with higher-country difference for remaining months. Payroll-cycle processing charge is displayed in the platform and can change on notice; public amount not found. Resource costs include employment/benefit/tax and onboarding/offboarding costs. Order service fees exclude pass-through costs; equity compliance can incur separately determined charges.

G2 exit insurance allegation

The reviewer praises early UI/onboarding but says price and USD-bank-transfer constraints motivated departure. No provider reply, policy schedule, executed contract or employment country is available; Australian company origin is not the worker location. July2026 resignation and settlement workflow

July2026 public release note says EOR employees can initiate resignation, request earlier last days, track progress and withdraw before employer-admin acceptance. Employer admins review/accept, confirm or change the last working day, monitor signature/statutory checks and review an automatically calculated final settlement covering salary, leave encashment, expenses, allowances, supplements and deductions. EOR data roles and transfers

EOR terms treat client and Multiplier as joint controllers for shared personal data under UK/EU GDPR and equivalent elsewhere. They require purpose limitation, contractual confidentiality, appropriate reviewed security measures, mutual data-subject assistance and breach-of-data-law notice without undue delay. Return/deletion at both parties’ written direction on termination is subject to legal retention. Restricted transfers require valid safeguards, with relevant SCCs/details to be completed when required; no executed annex or fixed retention period established. Two explicitly disclose business-partner-or-competitor affiliation and are excluded from independent corroboration. Several employees praise timely pay, self-service documents and clear support; an employer says past multiple-invoice administration was resolved. Wishes include split-bank salary allocation and niche integrations. One long generic software account lacks specific EOR engagement.
