EMPLOYER OF RECORD REVIEW

Workwell Global review

A substantial regional service network with useful staffing workflows. Public evidence is insufficient to compare pricing, current EOR protections and workforce-data safeguards on the full rubric.

How this provider compares

Final global workbook scores. How we score ↗

3.4/5

Consider it for

Staffing firms and employers needing regional workforce support, including North America and European industrial assignments.

Main trade-off

A current MSA, IP chain and exit schedule were not obtained; historical US litigation terms cannot substitute for current global agreements.

Country fit & local delivery

Current own-site EOR offering claims 150+ countries, using owned operations and local partners. The rebrand release described Whitefin local entities in 22 countries; Oncore release says 24 direct countries, and newer Latin America expansion says 25+ owned-entity countries. These are time- and scope-dependent claims, not a verified current employer list for every market. Country coverage alone does not establish local licences, eligible roles, delivery quality or visa support.

Customer cases and scope

Provider-published DataCite case describes North American engagement since November 2020, six workers, benefits and local HR support. Another unnamed recruitment-agency case claims 600+ contractors across 30 US states and five Canadian provinces, custom invoicing integration and no-minimum benefit participation. These are provider-selected endorsements, not independent platform reviews. Case copy refers to TN sponsorship to work in Canada, a jurisdictional wording issue left unverified rather than accepted as immigration guidance.

Published documents do not establish negotiated terms or tested performance. Customer claims remain unverified accounts; no population failure rate inferred.

Costs, deposits & currency

Universal Partners 2025 report, printed pages 30 and 40, discloses a 36% Workwell interest, investment cost GBP24.5m and fair value GBP54.8m. It says Eastridge/Oncore acquisitions used debt and retained profit without more UPL equity. Page 30 states over USD2bn group revenue and circa USD400m fee income; provider Oncore announcement instead says fee income over USD80m. Bases are unreconciled. Investor valuation and turnover are not cash, an EOR guarantee or proof of payroll-fund protection. Current UK filed-account PDF could not be read.

Regional payroll factoring

Industrial-worker page offers payroll factoring with upfront wages before agencies or end clients pay, local invoicing through European entities and in-house gross-to-net/cost simulations including contributions and taxes. This is a regional commercial claim; eligibility, funding charge, credit limits, exclusions and loss allocation are unpublished. It does not prove unconditional global EOR payroll financing or protected client funds.

Can you show the first funding request, a normal monthly invoice and a final settlement for this exact hire?

Payroll that works in practice

In Catz v Precision Global Consulting et al, SDNY 19cv7499, the 23 April 2021 opinion identifies PGC as EOR under a 2018 US W2 arrangement involving Phaidon and D2. The worker alleged unpaid expenses/overtime, unequal treatment and termination. The court compelled arbitration and stayed proceedings; it did not decide the allegations were true. The historical worker contract contained New York arbitration and at-will employment provisions; it is not current global EOR terms.

Who owns our case through to resolution, including when it moves to a country specialist?

Platforms & integrations

Documented platform claims include country/client/recruiter filters, hierarchical roles, analytics, overtime and leave, one-click emailed timesheet approval, paid/pending/overdue invoice visibility, CSV exports and remittance allocation. Invoice-area MFA is specifically advertised. No public API field matrix, native connector catalogue, uptime commitment, disaster-recovery objectives or independent security audit obtained; marketing features were not tested.

Regional platforms and onboarding

Public platform page distinguishes Europe/rest-of-world platform from US Precision. It describes paperless onboarding/offboarding, digital identity checks and employee self-service across desktop/mobile/tablet. The US 2–3-minute onboarding-form claim concerns form completion, not time to lawful employment or first payroll. No authenticated trial established cross-region parity, actual onboarding time or local extra portals.

Benefits & employee experience

Benefits leave and expenses

US page advertises healthcare/insurance access without a minimum number of participating workers. Platform material describes holiday and sick-leave management. No insurer network, premium schedule, policy exclusions, country leave-administration SLA or employee expense/reimbursement rules obtained. North American benefit examples must not be extrapolated worldwide.

What will this employee receive, what can they see, and where do they get help?

Contracts & responsibility

Own pages describe assuming employer compliance, payroll and benefit responsibilities while the client manages daily work. No current public MSA, country Schedule or employment template was obtained to establish liability caps, indemnities, client approval rights, IP assignment chain, non-solicitation or legal-cost allocation. Marketing about removing risk is not an enforceable transfer of every employment exposure.

Immigration and classification

Immigration page advertises selected work-permit support in 30+ countries, materially narrower than 150+ EOR markets. Contractor-management page offers classification tools for the US, Germany and Netherlands on request, with other markets described as expansion. US materials distinguish W2 employment from 1099/C2C contracting. Tools, permits and classification guarantees were not independently tested; no complete indemnity or visa-eligibility matrix obtained.

Pricing and unverified commercial leads

No provider-published base EOR fee, full add-on schedule, FX spread/fixing rule, deposit/refund terms, minimum commitment or accepted quote was obtained. Employsome price and invoice-deadline claims are discovery leads and remain unverified. Public pages route buyers to consultation. Payroll funding, work-permit, insurance, implementation and offboarding costs must not be assumed included simply because the service is described as comprehensive.

Supply chain and outsourcing

Modern-slavery statement for year ended 30 September 2023, approved 7 February 2024, describes accountant/legal/tax adviser partners and Indian outsourced QX Ltd, with training, inspections and annual checks. Its historical 70-country wording is not the current 150+ coverage claim. It evidences an outsourced supply-chain description, not a complete current payroll data-flow audit.

Identity and legal counterparties

Workwell Global is an international brand of Workwell Group. Its September 2026 website privacy statement names Workwell People Solutions Ltd, company 02407547; Companies House records this active company incorporated 24 July 1989 and formerly JSA Services Ltd until September 2024. Separately, Workwell Global Limited 16664010 was incorporated 21 August 2025 with a holding-company activity. Neither establishes the specific employing entity for a hire. The group began in accountancy; its 35-year history is not 35 years of global EOR delivery.
